What cars are in GTA 6?

No vehicle list has been published. Three vehicles have been named in first-party material and all three are pre-order bonus items on one edition page.

Not known. Open since 24 Jun 2026; statements to cite: none. Would settle it: a Rockstar listing naming a vehicle outside the Ultimate Edition bonuses. Source: Absence of any first-party statement. Checked .

Our own overhead render of a quiet road junction: worn asphalt and faded lane markings across most of the frame, a curved pastel building and palms throwing long shadows at one edge, and water beyond the seawall.

Every page serving "GTA 6 confirmed cars list" is publishing an identification exercise under the word confirmed. The lists are not reporting a document, because there is no document. They are reporting an activity: enthusiasts pausing official footage, comparing a silhouette against vehicles from earlier games, and writing down a name.

It is skilled work and it is often right. It is still an identification, and an identification is not a confirmation — the person making the claim and the person who would have to confirm it are not the same person.

The only vehicles Rockstar has named

Rockstar's Ultimate Edition listing itemises exclusive vehicles, engraved weapons, outfits, tattoos and a set of exclusive in-game shops. Confirmed. Kotaku (reporting Rockstar's edition page), .

Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as adding "an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story". Confirmed. Take-Two Interactive press release, .

They are named as examples rather than as a complete manifest. There is no canonical count of the Ultimate Edition contents, none of these items has been described in a way that says anything about how it drives, and none of it says anything about the base game's roster or about whether they stay exclusive to that edition. The difference between the two editions is itself narrower than most coverage implies.

The names Rockstar printed are in-fiction manufacturers of the kind this series has always used, so a familiar badge tells you something about the world and nothing about the car. Rockstar has not said which vehicles from earlier games return, whether a returning name means a returning model, or how many manufacturers exist in Leonida at all. A shared manufacturer name is a shared word, and that is the extent of it.

What has not been published

Rockstar has published no vehicle list, no vehicle count and no vehicle specifications for Grand Theft Auto VI. Not known. Open since ; statements to cite: one edition page, naming three vehicles sold as bonus content. Would settle it: a Rockstar vehicle page, a storefront feature list, or a showing with a garage in it. Absence of any first-party statement.

Not a total, not a manufacturer roster, not a top speed, not a class breakdown, not a single handling figure. The pre-order announcement is the most detailed product description Rockstar has issued, and it names vehicles only as bonus content.

No handling model, damage model or fuel system has been described in any first-party Grand Theft Auto VI material. Not known. Open since ; statements to cite: one sentence about the controller, and nothing about the car. Would settle it: any first-party description of handling, damage or fuel — or a narrated showing of driving. Absence of any first-party statement.

Rockstar's PlayStation.Blog post names DualSense haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, the controller speaker, Tempest 3D AudioTech and SSD load times as PS5 features the game uses. Confirmed. PlayStation.Blog (Rockstar-authored), .

That is the whole of what Rockstar has said about how the game feels to control, and it is about the controller rather than about the car. Claims that vehicles consume fuel, that damage is modelled panel by panel, or that handling has been rebuilt from scratch have no first-party source at all.

On 18 August 2026 a group calling itself CyberLeek posted material it claimed came from Grand Theft Auto VI, including footage and an image said to be the Leonida map. Rumoured. GameSpot, .

Those claims trace back to two bodies of material: the 2022 breach, and the footage posted in August 2026 whose authenticity has not been established. A work-in-progress build is not the shipping game, so a mechanic described in it cannot be called confirmed — and since nothing first-party contradicts it either, it cannot be called debunked. Rumoured is as high as it reaches, and a claim with no traceable origin at all does not reach even that.

No aircraft has been named or described in any first-party Grand Theft Auto VI material. Not known. Open since ; statements to cite: none — no aircraft named, described or specified. Would settle it: an aircraft named in a Rockstar edition page, feature list or showing. Absence of any first-party statement.

Earlier games in the series carried aircraft, and a landscape that would suit flying is not evidence that flying is in the game. Precedent is not an announcement, however strong the pattern behind it looks.

Leonida Keys is an officially named location, described by Rockstar as a tropical archipelago. Confirmed. Rockstar Games material published with Trailer 2 (via GTABase), .

Grassrivers is an officially named location, described as a primordial wetland expanse. Confirmed. Rockstar Games material published with Trailer 2 (via GTABase), .

Water is a different matter, and not incidental to this setting: Rockstar's own location pages name a tropical archipelago and a wetland expanse, and one of the named Ultimate Edition items is a boat. Outside the road vehicles in that same listing, it is the only vehicle Rockstar has named.

What a trailer frame supports

As of 21 August 2026 there have been two official trailers, with a third showing scheduled. Confirmed. Rockstar Games Newswire, .

Trailer 1 was released on 4 December 2023. Confirmed. The Washington Post, .

Trailer 2 was released on 6 May 2025, four days after the first delay. Confirmed. GTABase, .

Rockstar published around 70 screenshots and new character and location pages alongside Trailer 2. Confirmed. GTABase, .

Rockstar states Trailer 2 was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5. Confirmed. GTABase (quoting Rockstar's trailer notes), .

The footage is cinematic and carries no driving interface. A frame showing a car is evidence that an object of roughly that shape was rendered in that shot, and that is the full extent of it. Four claims are routinely made from such a frame, and only the first of them is supportable by the frame at all.

The claim What footage alone establishes Grade
A vehicle appears That an object of roughly that shape was rendered in that shot. Real evidence, and the strongest kind available for any vehicle here. Rumoured
It is called X Nothing. A name comes from a caption, a store listing or an in-game label. None exists. Not known
It is drivable Nothing. Traffic, scenery and story vehicles look identical in a cinematic frame. Not known
There are N vehicles Nothing. Counting what appeared on screen sets no floor and no ceiling on the finished game. Not known

What would settle it

"Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" premieres on 27 August 2026. Confirmed. Rockstar Games Newswire, .

Take-Two described the Netflix arrangement on its earnings call as "a groundbreaking partnership" for an extended gameplay reveal. Confirmed. Take-Two Q1 FY2027 earnings call transcript (The Motley Fool), .

The runtime and exact contents of the Extended Look have not been announced. Not known. Open since ; statements to cite: none. Video Games Chronicle.

That earnings-call description is the closest thing to a first-party statement that the showing contains playable footage rather than another cinematic cut. If it is narrated play, it could settle a great deal at once: a driving interface, a vehicle name on screen, a garage. If it is another cinematic cut, it establishes nothing new — the identification lists get longer while remaining exactly as unconfirmed as they are today.

Either way this register is updated against what the material actually shows, not against what it is taken to imply — the same rule applied to everything else known about how the game plays, to what the two editions contain and to the world and its side activities.
