How many GTA 6 trailers are there?

Three showings in nearly three years is a small body of evidence, and knowing its exact size is the first defence against a fake. There have been no press previews, no hands-on events and no gameplay demonstrations at any trade show. Anything that reached you by another route is not an official showing, whatever it looks like.

Every official showing, in order

Rockstar announced the first trailer on 8 November 2023, tied to the studio's 25th anniversary. Confirmed. BBC News, 29 Nov 2023.

What Trailer 1 established

It was announced a month ahead, tied to Rockstar's own twenty-fifth anniversary, and then released a day early because a watermarked copy escaped first. That last detail is worth keeping: it is why sources disagree about whether Trailer 1 is a 4 or a 5 December release.

The first trailer ended with a "Coming 2025" card. That was the game's public release window at the time; it was later moved and is no longer current. Confirmed. Rockstar Games Trailer 1, 4 Dec 2023.

The release window it ended on has since moved twice. The full sequence is on every delay, in order.

What Trailer 2 established

Trailer 2 arrived four days after the first delay was announced, and the sequence matters: the trailer was the answer to a delay. It also came with far more than a video — character pages, location pages and a large set of screenshots — and it remains the single largest body of official material about this game.

Field by field against its predecessor, the two are less comparable than they look.

The two view counts in the last row are not comparable and should never be quoted side by side as growth: one is a single platform measured by YouTube, the other is a multi-platform total published by the company that made the video. The third showing is scheduled, not released

It is not called a trailer, it premieres on a streaming service rather than on YouTube, and its contents have not been described.

The runtime and exact contents of the Extended Look have not been announced. Not known. Open since 6 Aug 2026; statements to cite: none. Would settle it: a runtime in the Newswire post, or the showing itself. Video Games Chronicle.

The thirty-minute figure that circulates is not a Rockstar number, and neither is the description of it as a narrated presentation. An earnings call is the closest thing to a first-party statement of contents anywhere, and a single clause to investors is a thin basis for a strong claim. It also belongs to a schedule the publisher announced in advance.

Is there a GTA 6 Trailer 3?

No. Rockstar has announced no third trailer. It has announced a third showing, and named it "An Extended Look" rather than Trailer 3 — a distinction worth holding onto, because a great deal of what circulates under the name Trailer 3 is fan-made.

There is a simple test for the rest, and it does not require you to judge the footage. Official GTA VI material has only ever appeared through Rockstar's own channels: the Newswire, the official YouTube channel and the official GTA VI site — with Netflix added for the Extended Look, announced in advance on the Newswire. A video that reached you any other way is not an official showing.

Three checks, in order of how quickly they settle it. Count. Two trailers have been released, ever, so a third video presented as an official trailer contradicts the list above. Check the date against the announcement. Rockstar announced Trailer 1 a month ahead and the Extended Look three weeks ahead; official showings are scheduled in public first. Follow it home. A reupload, a compilation or a "leaked trailer" with no Newswire post behind it is somebody else's edit — including edits built out of real footage.
